    Journalling Group – Wednesday 8 April 2026 1pm – 3pm

A quiet, structured space to think on paper

Journalling sessions with Cat & Crow CIC offer a calm, low-pressure environment to step out of the noise of daily life and spend some time thinking things through, privately and at your own pace.

There is no expectation to share what you write. In fact, most people don’t.

This is not about producing anything impressive. It is about giving your thoughts somewhere to go.

    What happens in a session

Each session follows a simple, predictable structure:

    • A short introduction and explanation of the session
    • A set of guided prompts to get you started
    • A period of quiet writing time
    • A short break
    • A second round of prompts and writing

The structure is there to make things easier, not more complicated.

If a prompt works for you, you can stay with it.
If it doesn’t, you can move on without fuss.

    What journalling actually does

Writing things down has a surprisingly practical effect.

    It helps to:

    • slow down fast or repetitive thinking
    • organise thoughts that feel unclear or tangled
    • create a bit of distance from whatever is going on

You can arrive quietly, take your time, and join in at your own pace.

    What you need

    Very little:

    • a notebook and pen (we can provide these if needed)
    • a willingness to sit quietly for a while

    That’s it.

    Who it’s for

This session is suitable for anyone who:

    • feels like their head is a bit busy
    • prefers thinking things through privately
    • wants a structured but low-pressure way to reflect

    You do not need:

    • writing experience
    • confidence
    • or any particular reason to attend

    Turning up is enough.

    What it is not

It is worth being clear about what this session is not:

    • it is not a therapy session
    • it is not a group discussion
    • it is not about sharing personal stories

It is a facilitated, quiet space for individual reflection.

    The overall aim

To provide a space where you can:

    • pause
    • think
    • and leave with your thoughts a little clearer than when you arrived

    Nothing more complicated than that.
