Simple, relaxed time with other people
Social sessions with Cat & Crow CIC are exactly what they sound like:
A chance to spend time around other people in a calm, informal setting, without pressure or expectation.
No agenda. No structure beyond turning up and staying for a while.

What happens in a session
People arrive, get a drink, and settle in.
From there:
- conversations happen naturally
- some people chat, others sit quietly
- small groups form and drift
There is no requirement to:
- join in immediately
- speak at length
- or stay for the full session
You can ease into it at your own pace.
Why this matters
Spending time around other people, even without deep conversation, has a noticeable effect on wellbeing.
It can:
- reduce feelings of isolation
- provide a sense of normality
- create small, manageable moments of connection
Importantly, this happens without needing to “open up” or explain yourself.
The environment
We aim to keep sessions:
- calm
- welcoming
- and easy to step into
There is no forced interaction.
You are free to:
- talk
- listen
- or simply sit and have a cup of tea
All are valid ways to take part.
Who it’s for
This session is suitable for anyone who:
- wants a bit of company without pressure
- prefers informal, unstructured environments
- finds larger or noisier settings difficult
You do not need to:
- be outgoing
- know anyone beforehand
- or have a particular reason for attending
What it is not
To keep expectations realistic, this is not:
- a structured support group
- a therapy session
- or a networking event
It is simply:
a space to be around other people, without complication
The overall aim
To provide something very straightforward:
- a place to go
- people to be around
- and time that feels a little less isolated
